Ghosts N Goblins Game

The Ghosts n Goblins game is a platform game that was launched in 1985 by Capcom. It is renowned for its extreme difficulty, with numerous monsters laying siege to your knight at any time with no chance to rest.

Ghosts n Goblins game play involves the controlling of a knight surprisingly named Arthur. You must guide him through many levels slaying zombies, demons and other undead creatures in order to rescue a captured princess. Your typical weapon is a throwing spear (well actually an umlimited amount of throwing spears, don't ask me where he keeps them all), quite an unusual choice from the game developers with the typical knight's offense being a sword and shield. Along the way you can pick up extra weapons and suits of armour to aid you in your heroic quest.

The player has 3 lives at the start of the game and additional lives can be gained by reaching the 20,000 point mark and then every 70,000 on top of that.

You can loose a life from taking 2 hits from a monster. One hit takes Arthur's armour off, and then he is almost naked! The second hit kills him. He will also die if the time runs out and you have yet to complete the level, the time clock lasts 3 minutes.

This classic arcade game was ported to 13 video game consoles, such was its success. A sequel also followed Ghosts n Goblins called 'Ghouls n Ghosts'. This was brought out in 1988 and was also ported to many consoles.

The flash version of Ghosts n Goblins contains the 1st level only. The game developer may complete the total original game in the future, if so we will update it here.
