The premise for all the games is the same, you start off as a farm owner, and you try to run a successful business. To progress through levels you are given a set amount of objectives, and before you can move on you must complete these. When you have completed a level, you take the money that you made, and buy better upgrades for your farm, to help you with the progressively harder levels. Along the way you come across some objectives, notably the attack of bears, which will run riot on your farmland leaving it in tatters; that is if you do not have the right precautions in place.

For the first farm frenzy download, the graphics remained the same. To start the graphics were basic 2D, and for the first few games this was fine. Many online flash gamers will know that some 3D flash games are not particularly the best, because flash games that concentrate on decent graphics lack the game play to match. Many flash gamers have even avoided 3D flash games altogether, because if they wanted to play a 3D game then they would just hook up their consoles. However, in Farm Frenzy 3, developers took the bold step and converted to 3D graphics along with some simple shadowing. The game play through the five farm frenzy games has remained the same, obviously each game has had new levels and upgrades, but the basic premise and layouts remained unchanged. One of the reasons why this game is so successful is due to its long lasting game play, and developers knew that this was the case. If the game play did not work then the likelihood, was that Farm Frenzy 1 would have been the last game in the series. Farm Frenzy does not take itself too seriously, or boast about its terrific new graphics, and this just allows the game play to flow from level to level and game to game.
From the very first farm frenzy game, every following game has brought something new, including, new upgrades, new animals, new locations, new recipes, new travel methods and many more. It is this attention to detail that has made each proceeding game better than the last. The major development across the five games where the inclusion of new items and upgrades you could buy and sell. However, there were many more inclusions, for example, Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party focused mostly on the creation of pizzas, while on the later games you could sell your items to all different types of places, for different amounts of money. So even though the games were remarkably similar to one another, the objectives and missions changed from game to game.
I believe that because of the new additions, the games have progressively got harder. Developers have handled this extremely well if you play the games in order. However, if you do not then you might find the last game in the series harder than it needs to be, which is why I recommend starting on game one. If you do this you will also pick up some little things, like how the game has developed.

The Farm Frenzy games development has been a factoring roll in making the games what they are today, when the first game was released a lot of players gave feedback to developers, they listened and implemented some of them into the game. While doing this, developers never took away the games basic idea, knowing that this was what made them a success, this is a hard job to do, so developers needed to make sure that each game would be as well received as the last. If they were not, then not only does the new game lose credibility so does the series of games. However, Farm Frenzy did not do this, and this is why the games are still so popular today.
In my opinion you will struggle to find a more consistent set of games around, and the Farm Frenzy download series will remain at the top of many casual gamers' wish lists for years to come.
